All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
The Canteen at Carlingford Public School is proudly run by the CPS P&C Association.
The Canteen offers a wide range of hot and cold lunch options, beverages, snacks and the occasional treat in compliance with the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy.
You can order online 24/7 with the QKR! App, see below for instructions on how to register and place your orders.
Our menu is updated regularly and is available both online and at any time in the QKR! App.

Operating Hours and Ordering times
The Canteen is open 5 days per week.
To ensure you child receives their meals, you must place your order via the QKR! app BEFORE 8am on the day you want the meals. Please remember you can order several days in advance, or setup repeating orders instead. See the QKR! instructions below on how to do this.
Cancellation Policy:
All orders must be cancelled via TEXT MESSAGE to the Canteen (0493 422 188) before 9:25am the day the order is due. Please include Order Reference, Child Name and Class.

Other important information
Department allergen recommendations prohibit parents from bringing cakes etc in for your child’s birthday celebration. As an alternative, the Canteen can provide “Birthday Buckets” containing frozen fruit juice ice blocks. See the QKR! app or the menu online for more details.
If for some reason we do not have enough volunteers on the days of operation the canteen will regrettably be closed. For any parents interested in becoming part of our wonderful group of P&C volunteers, contact Belinda in the Canteen at canteen@carlingfordpspandc.org.au
Throughout the year we will have additional specials available suited to the season. Look out for the specials through the Qkr! app.
NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy
School canteens have an important role to play in providing healthy food and drink choices for students.
A healthy school canteen supports a 'whole-of-school' approach to student health and well-being and reinforces healthy eating messages taught in the classroom. The NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy, launched in February 2017, supports a culture of healthy eating in school by
- promoting and increasing student access to healthier foods and drinks
- decreasing student access to less healthy food and drinks
- supporting water as a drink of choice
- making a healthy choice an easy choice.
Our Canteen makes menu decisions under the NSW Healthy Schools Strategy and regularly audits our menu to ensure compliance. For more information click here.
