Students at Carlingford Public School can explore their creative flair through our comprehensive dance program. The dance program is a valuable and rewarding extra-curricular opportunity for students. This year the program consists of three performance groups, Junior, Year 3 & 4 and Senior dance groups.
The dance groups are choreographed by a professional dance teacher who is a member of staff. All groups participate in a diverse range of competitive and non competitive performances as well as the various training and rehearsal preparations throughout the year.
The Carlingford Public dance program continues to go from strength to strength and is establishing a reputation for its innovative and unique style. Our achievements last year included the Junior dance group winning the Ryde Eisteddfod and the Senior dancers placing third at the Castle Hill Eisteddfod and Ryde Eisteddfod. So far this year the Senior dancers successfully placed first at the Baulkham Hills Shire Dance Eisteddfod. All three dance groups are looking forward to performing at the Hills Dance Spectacular in August and their inaugural performance at The Hills Music Festival in September.
Our dance group enjoys a close working relationship with the dance committee consisting of parents who helped ensure the programs continued growth and development.
