Bilingual collection
We are proud of our bilingual collection, which features texts in 21 languages. Generously supported by our P&C, our school library’s bilingual collection is specially designed to support the diverse language backgrounds of our students, helping them build strong literacy skills in both their home language and English. This dual-language approach not only enhances academic success but also creates an inclusive and welcoming environment where every child’s culture is valued and celebrated. By providing books in multiple languages, we make it easier for families to engage with their child’s learning and foster a strong partnership between home and school. Embracing multilingualism, our library nurtures students’ confidence and pride in their heritage while supporting their journey to becoming successful, lifelong learners.
Digital Resources

Our school library offers access to online educational platforms that students can use both at school and at home.

Wheelers ePlatform allows students to borrow and read an extensive collection of ebooks and audiobooks. Students can use the included Immersive Reader technology to translate their favourite books into many different languages, allowing students to experience and practise reading for pleasure and learning in the language of their choice.

Story Box Library offers an incredible collection of picture books and stories read aloud by some of Australia’s favourite story enthusiasts. Listening to really good readers is vital for students to develop their own reading skills. When students hear stories read aloud by confident and expressive readers, they gain an understanding of how language flows, including the rhythm, tone, and expression that brings stories to life. This not only supports their own reading fluency but also helps build a richer vocabulary as they encounter new words in context. Additionally, listening to engaging storytelling enhances their comprehension skills, allowing them to connect more deeply with the meaning and emotions in texts. Most importantly, this enjoyable experience fosters a love of reading and encourages children to explore books with enthusiasm. At our school, we prioritise opportunities for students to listen to talented readers as part of our commitment to nurturing confident, motivated, and capable learners.
